Hi Stefan, your questions are really important. Regarding the long term effects of the Lidcombe Program, there are a few articles that suggest that fluency is mostly maintained. Miller and Guitar have had a paper accepted I think it is Journal of Fluency Disorders, looking at the first group of children to complete the Lidcombe Program in Vermont and there is a paper from Australia as well. Pat Roberts and I presented a preliminary study on the long term outcomes of a group of bilingual children treated with the LP and that is in the proceedings of the Dublin World Fluency Congress. I would not recommend that you follow the LP without clinician consultation. Many well trained and experienced clinicians in the program are doing some distance managed therapy and might be available to help you. There also was a replication of the LP with German children, Lattermann et al in the JFD. I hope this helps.
