I found your paper very interesting. I was wondering, do you think that perhaps stuttering may occur as a result from a child's increased amount of stress and tension which relate directly to the difficulty of growing up learning two languages at once? I am monolingual but I can only imagine that it may be difficult or stressful for a child to be bombarded with 2 languages at once, from birth on, and perhaps this tension is linked to stuttering.
