Brian and Rosalee, This article was the first information I have gained on Stuttering and bilingualism, and I found it very interesting and informative. It was made clear that more research and evidence must be obtained to make more conclusions, but the case studies were very intriging. It did bring up several questions! One, is that is there information that is consistent with saying more bilingual boys than girls stutter? Also, does stuttering with bilingualism necessarily mean the client stutters in both languages, or to just a child who is bilingual that stutters? And lastly, has research distinguished if simultaneous bilingualism or second-language bilingualism results in stuttering more?
