Reading aloud in therapy can be an important thing to work on for some people who stutter. It is interesting though, that for many who stutter, reading aloud does not cause any difficulty at all. For others, it is a big problem, and might be worked on, perhaps even starting with simply developing and then reading a list of difficult words, as desensitization and also as an opportunity to practice fluency-enhancing strategies.
