I agree with much of what you said, Mark. Your words are in quotes -- We agree that "choral reading could be of benefit to some people in certain situations," that "choral reading could be a benefit by giving the moderate or severe stutterer the experience of extended periods of normal speech" and that there is "some value in this practice." We also agree choral reading is "limited in what it can potentially do." I (and I suspect you) support what Conture says that using choral reading is "not without problems" which "need to be discussed" and that choral reading is not a cure for stuttering. And of course, speech therapy certainly does not stop (or even always start) with choral reading.
