Very interesting! Not a "speech act" but I definitely have experienced this "mirror act" I think. Even when I am watching a movie, if someone shrugs their shoulders, I do, too - automatically - no "thinking involved" and it is immediate. I've enjoyed having you part of the conference and am excited about some of the contacts you made with your interesting paper. Judy
