Very good questions! I refer you to Ken St. Louis' LCD definition at the beginning of the conference papers to gain an appreciation of some of the "essential" characteristics of cluttering. Perhaps a major common ground relates to the rate of speech of PWC: that the person is speaking faster than he can handle. Regarding your second question re where a difference in opinion exists, a major area would be whether language functions and language formulations should be included as part of cluttering. Another area that some of us have contemplated is the so-called executive functions of the nervous system to organize thoughts and execute the motor and linguistic acts in an orderly (noncluttered) fashion. Research on the verification of any of the proposed definitions still need to be conducted.
