Thanks for contributing this gem. Pausing indeed is one of the most powerful (and concrete) means to slow rate. There are many activities that use pausing as an integral part of speaking: skits, reading poetry, a sequence of utterances that use carrier phrases, nursery rhymes. Good to interact with you again, even though it's in cyberspace!
