I am not Dr. Ken St. Louis, but I think I may have some interesting insights for you. I am involved in researching cluttering together Ken St Louis, Flo Myers, and Lawrence Raphael. Although we haven't reach definite end conclusions it is beginning to appear that people who clutter do not always necessarily speak fast in a "physical sense" (although many do). What often happens is that due to the speech changes, and the fact that speech becomes less intelligible to listeners the perception occurs that cluttering is fast. In my opinion people who clutter can sometime be very fast, but there is also a perceptual component that suggests that cluttering fast, even when sometimes it is not.
