I’m currently a graduate student in speech and hearing sciences and I know very little about cluttering. The articles by Dr. St. Louis and Mr. Ward were very helpful in expanding my knowledge. However, I have a few questions. The first one is pertaining to the LCD definition. In the definition, Dr. St. Louis used words like "too fast" and "excessive". This seems a bit subjective because sometimes what one person perceives as being "too fast," "too irregular," or "excessive" may not be perceived the same by the next person. Is there a better way to quantify these concepts? The second question is pertaining to the Spectrum Approach. I wanted to know more about the boundaries. Would a person be diagnosed as being a mild, moderate, or severe clutterer? Thanks for allowing us the opportunity to interact with you. I look forward to your replies.
