Hi, Sabrina - Thank you for your question and comments. I didn't specifically ask whether David had seen himself speaking in front of a mirror. I suppose that might have helped him notice the "beaver talk." However, I do think that a video is more removed and makes it easier to make observations. David's fast rate of speech and bouts of unintelligibility would not have been as easy for him to observe in front of a mirror. There were parts of the video he could not decipher himself. That also made him aware of how important it would be to slow down.
