Thanks so much for sharing this idea with us! I feel that many children think the same way as David. They feel that the way they are talking is correct, and that there is nothing wrong with them. When a child says something incorrectly, such as "wabbit" for "rabbit", they don't see where it is wrong. If you repeat what they said back to them, the way they said it, such as asking "wabbit?", they will most likely say "No, WABBIT!" not knowing that they are incorrect. I think the video idea is excellent. When the child can actually see themselves, and hear the way they are saying things, they can better understand what they are doing wrong, and you can help them to do it the right way. As a future SLP, I feel that this is a technique that would be of great benefit to my clients. Thanks again for sharing this with us!!
