The course in Phonetics, which I attended as a student of philological department, helped me to understand my speech limitations and address the speech difficulties through various exercises.I found the recordings of my own speech with the follow-up analysis and re-recording in combination with following along the taped course in Phonetics specifically helpful. Another type of exercise was singing along with the tapes of Jazz Chants, etc. which addressed the issues of pauses, breathing patterns, rate, intonation, appropriate vowel, diphthong and triphthong production, thus significantly reducing the affects of both cluttering and stuttering.
