Thank you so much for writing this paper. These are two great techniques. You explained how to work on the client's pausing by placing asterisks to "signify places where you would like the client to pause," and that you reduce the number of pauses as they become proficient. Have you found that it is difficult or easy for the clients to carry this over and produce natural pauses in predictable places, in their spontaneous speech? Thank you!
