I thought that this was a great way to get the client aware of their rapid rate of speech, jumbled up words/sentences and fluency. A lot of the time the child/teen is unaware of what they sound like to other people when they are having troubles with cluttering. But in this self monitoring activity the client is becoming more in tune with themselves and their speech. In order to take those first steps towards improving their speech, they need to be aware of it. And this is a fun and engaging activity for both the client and the clinician.
