Excellent question, Jasmin. All things being equal, I put the speaking/reading material on a hierarchy along the dimensions of degree of structure, length and complexity of utterances, degree of propositionality and excitement of the topic. Similar to therapy for stuttering, you'd want to start out with tasks that are "easier and shorter and less propositional." You will probably find that cluttering is at its heightened state the more informal, extemporaneous, spontaneous, unguarded the speaking task. And, VERY IMPORTANT, always appeal to the client's sensory feedback associated with the speaking task at the various rates. I have even first used the motor act of raising one's arm up and down at various rates to get at the sensory feedback before "transferring" the sensoimotor act to movements of the mouth!
