Ms. Potemra, this is a great technique, and I've actually done something similar with a client to work on saying each syllabe in 4-syllable words. I was wondering, during this exercise, are you controlling when the child says the next word by pointing to the next dot, or are you modeling it first and then having the child self-regulate by pointing on their own? I would expect that there is some kind of hierarchy as to when you control it versus the client because I can just picture a young child racing through the dots in the beginning if they were the one doing the pointing.
