Excellent question, Samira. I will leave this question open to any people with cluttering to answer as well, as far as what are appropriate listener reactions in their opinions. I think that anything that is a natural response you might give to a friend when you don't follow them is appropriate. So, in conversation if our friend said, "I went shopping yesterday for some wheat bread," and we got everything they said except the kind of bread, we might be likely to say either, "what kind of bread did you get?" or "You went shopping for what kind of bread?" I think the response should be no different for the person with cluttering. One thing I have noticed with some clients is that if you respond in this way, sometimes they need to learn to focus on only answering the specific part you missed, rather than repeating the whole thing again.
