Carissa, I think that group treatment could be a positive part of therapy. However, I've never had the opportunity to do any group treatment, since we tend to have one child at a time who clutters, or one child and one adult in our clinic. This child does participate in group treatment for the pragmatic aspects, and for kids who clutter who also have social language issues, this is a wonderful support. We have certainly found it to be the case for our client. Group work can very likely be a good addition to individual treatment from quite early on in therapy. I am not sure that our client would have benefited from only group treatment, due to her high level of distractability. Thanks for your good question! Regards, Lynne
