Kayla, Therapy for cluttered speech is really focusing on, at least initially, helping the person learn to speak with greater speech intelligibility and to learn how to recognize when their speech is not clear. For someone who stutters, they are typically quite aware of the disfluencies and are often reactive to them. So, treatment is focusing on helping the child reduce the severity of their stuttering as well as learning to manage any negative feelings that might be increasing the amount of tension and struggle they use. So, I think the therapies are really quite different from one another. Thanks for your question. Regards, Lynne
