Hi Dick, Good to hear from you. I was never - NEVER - able to control my speech to the point where I could pass as a fluent speaker for very long. To this day, I stutter noticeably, but I've won many speech contests in Toastmasters and am now a mentor to many Toastmaster clubs and members. I was never really teased about my speech, mostly simply ignored by my friends. I don't know why, maybe I've just conveniently forgotten. When I go to my reunions I stutter like I always do, but unless I bring it up (which I do quite a bit), no one ever mentions it. It's just not important to them. I still find that hard to believe, but that's the apparent truth. We spend time talking about family and grandchildren and the "good old days" in high school. Now THAT'S important to everyone! I keep in touch with our mutual friend Sarah Watson from time to time. I'll tell her you said hi - and I'm sure she'll do the same to you. Take care, Russ
