Hi. I am a 2nd year graduate student in Louisiana. I am studying to become a Speech-Language Pathologist and am taking a fluency class. After reading this article, a question arose. If its not too personal, I am curious to know whether or not you received therapy services for stuttering. If so, what types of interventions were introduced to you? What are some of your opinions based on therapy you may have received? Obviously, you found your own way to deal with dysfluencies and they seem to have worked so well for you. Would you suggest that these types of techniques be used with younger fluency patients (depeding on each patient's case and history, of course)?
