Becky, As others have written, it isnt a particular technique, but rather the invaluable expereince of spending time with kids and their families that really helps SLPs. You mentioned "goal setting". WHat better way to help SLPs feel confident in goal setting, than to brainstorm with parents and kids anbout what THEy think is important. It really helps you get a better understanding of what it is like to be a kid who stutters, or to parent one. Would love for you to join us sometime. lee
