Amanda, Thanks for your comments. I hope that our paper will serve as a challenge to you, as you enter the profession, to be an SLP who will go out and work to make these support opportunities available to children and their families. I think that you will find it so rewarding. I value my participation in FRIENDS & Family Day not only for the service I can help provide to families, but also for what I gain as an SLP. I learn new things each time I do this event, from my fellow facilitators, from the children and from their family members. It is a positive experience for all involved.
