Hi Alexis, it's really hard to say what is the success rate in self-help groups. As you can see in another paper written by Qingsong Li of Nanjing self-help group, China, success rate is highly presumed. However, there are many questions to ask: how to define a success? how long a time is needed to evaluate its efficacy? To which type of PWS is it most effective? etc. Most therapists in China are self-taught, and they lack basic training in scientific research, and, as speech therapy is a business to which government offices pay no attention, they tend to exaggerate the success rate. In my personal view, the success rate is very low. All the best, Albert
