Hi Lauren, great question! I think support groups are great! In fact, I do them as part of therapy here. One time per month, we have the kids do group treatment with other children who stutter. Also, The National Stuttering Association offers (TWIST) groups for teens who stutter in some of their chapters thorought the country. I think support groups are great for helping the child see that they are not alone and helping them feel more confident. They are also great for practicing strategies when children are with their peers--a more relaistic situation. Thanks for the great question!
