I have a question about working with the SLP in a school. I know a young man with Down's Syndrome. He is 11 years old. He has just started stuttering within the last few months. The parents have asked for the SLP to do an evaluation on this boy. The SLP will not do the evaluation. She believes that the stuttering is a behavior problem. However, the parents do not believe this. Is there anything they can do to get an evaluation or should they take this boy to an outside clinic and have him evaluated? I appreciate your time. Thank -you, Victoria Rhodes
