I am a Speech Pathology graduate student and enjoyed reading your paper. It was really interesting to read the various recommendations provided by the SLP's who initially observed the children. In the case of Bill, is it common for peditricians to give a prognosis without consulting a SLP? I was really suprised that the children responded so well to the direct method used, which basically hightened their awareness of stuttered moments. Was that the only method of direct treatment used and would it be considered a stuttering modification technique?
