Thanks for your positive comments about our paper. Relative to carryover, I think the real value of this type of model is that you get more realistic carryover within and between sessions. The reason for this is because the types of utterances produced within a session tend to be more realistic and within a level that matches the child's abilities to manage the skills being treated. Also recognize that there are a lot of factors that influence carryover between sessions and across time that are out of a clinicians control. However, we believe that the SDS model can facilitate a clinician's contol of the desired response from the child.
