I am a high school special education teacher. I have one student who has fallen prey to the "Stuttering Beast". I feel that email therapy would have been more beneficial for him because he loved computers and he was very apprehensive to attend speech therapy. I think this method would have made him feel more at ease than being escorted from his regular classes to attend therapy weekly.
