Thanks for your response. As far as the goals addressed during the activities, they are varied. Many children will work on use of their speech target, such as pull-out or easy onset. Others need to work simply on gathering the courage to speak in a group, or to keep their head raised and their volume adequate. Speech rate is frequently difficult for kids to control when they are in exciting circumstances. The group environment supports more intensive focus on the speech behaviors (and related behaviors)which need to be changed, but it is safe and supportive.Best wishes to you in your graduate program.
