Hi. Nice meeting you online! You make a good point, that teens and kids who participate in online opportunities can gain very important support. In my experience, younger kids generally aren't ready for 'chatting' back and forth, or carrying on a threaded discussion. But, they do enjoy reading comments from other children, and putting in their two cents' worth. That's why I like Judy Kuster's "Just for Kids" section of her Stuttering Homepage. She provides a place for children to comment on their feelings about their stuttering in a one-time-response format that works better for them.
