As a grad student, I feel this article was written for me. I think the importance of talking to parents, and coaching them with on slow speech and voluntary stuttering, is acknowledged, but hard to put into practice for new and student clinicans. It helped to read this and be reminded of the improtance of these tasks. Another important element for me, was the idea of acknowledging their feelings first, before telling them the situation can improve. Involving the parents in therpy may also be often overlooked by new clinicins, who are trying hard to be confidant and know their job. Thanks for the advice.
