We're told we are a land of free speech.
So how come people see us as freaks?
Yes, speech for some may well be free.
But my stutter comes with a cost to me.
People dismiss the things I want to say.
And yes, the impatient ones walk away!
Sometimes I can't convey what I mean.
Intellect ignored and it's never ever seen!
Take a second and you'll see it's absurd.
Look behind some of my malformed words.
You will be in for quite a pleasant surprise.
Open your ears and then close your eyes.
In my stammer you'll hear a wonderful rant.
Think you can ignore me? I bet that you can't.
