Why

by Claus Christophani

Like meteors hammering to the ground,
this was life at it's birth.
And the universe was all black,
frosty and silent.
A blank face.
Looking at me from a distance,
watching the impact.
Later I often wondered:
Why.
In fact I had to ask God,
who said:
Why not?
