San Francisco National Stuttering Project Chapter Meeting Activity - designed by Angus Croll

The following scenarios can be used for a chapter meeting. Run off the suggestions below and cut them into separate pieces for each role. NSA members draw scenarios and role play the situation. For example: in scenario number one, one person will act out the part of the customer and the other will act out the part of the clerk.

 

 

(1) A customer returns an item to a store for a refund. There appears to be nothing wrong with the item and an argument develops.

(2) A tourist checks into a hotel. He/She has a letter with his/her reservation, but the desk clerk cannot find the reservation in their records.

(3) A resident in a lower apartment knocks on the door of the upper apartment to complain about the noise. The person in the upper apartment thinks they are being victimized

(4) A parking officer is arranging for an illegally parked car to be towed away. As they are calling the tow company the owner of the car returns and tries to get the ticket voided.

(5) In a restaurant: A diner has returned a partially eaten dish because it was substandard. When the check comes the diner has been charged for that dish. The diner complains to the waiter

(6) Somebody has given a passer-by their dog to hold onto while they pop into a store. The dog owner returns from the store to find the dog has got away and has run off down the street. Arguments / excuses follow.
