Joseph Dewey would like to announce the first writing contest about the subject of the speech disorder of cluttering. This contest is to spur interest, research, and study about cluttering. It is also to generate new material and ideas in the field of cluttering research, which is a relatively new field of research.

Prize

There will be a grand prize of $100 USD, to be awarded by check within a few weeks of the deadline. The winner's paper will be posted on the cluttering section of the Stuttering Home Page. Honorable mentions will receive $25 and also be posted in the cluttering section.

Paper Guidelines:

• Papers should be between 700 and 2000 words
• Papers should be text only with no images
• The possible categories are:
  • personal narrative, a story of your experience with cluttering, or of your experience with someone who has cluttering, such as your child
  • original research, which may include studies, hypotheses, and calls for research
  • research paper, which summarizes, categorizes, or explains prior research
  • short fiction, where a main character is someone with cluttering

The contest deadline is February 14, 2008.

Guidelines for Submission:

Send the following items to: joseph_dewey@hotmail.com. If you do not get an e-mail confirmation of receipt within two days, please resubmit.

1. Your paper, with a title. In the upper right-hand corner of the paper, type your full name. Please furnish any references you use.

2. A separate cover sheet on which you have typed:

• your full name, address, country, phone number, and email address
• the subject of your paper
• the type of paper: personal narrative, original research, research paper, short fiction
• a 1-2 sentence overview of your paper
• a 1-2 sentence biography of yourself
