Douglas Federer attened MLS with us from grades 1-7. In a telephone call to him in 2000, Douglas told me he was a process operator - made cheese cultures and his wife, Rita was a claims analyst for an HMO. Doug has one daughter, Stacy, who was at that time expecting his third grandchild. One of Doug's MLS favorite memories of MLS was singing in the choir.

Federer, Doug J.
WAUNAKEE - Doug J. Federer, age 58, died suddenly at his home on Thursday, Dec. 12, 2002. He was born on Nov. 26, 1944 in Madison to Arnold and Ruby (Stallman) Federer. He married the former Rita Derra on Sept. 2, 1994, and they lived in the DeForest-Waunakee area since. Doug loved NAS-CAR racing, traveling and all sports in general. He was currently employed at Rhodia-Marshall products and was also a traveling DJ for different functions. Survivors include his wife, Rita, a daughter, Stacie (Bill) Prochaska of Arcia; a stepdaughter, Jennifer (Timothy) Voeck of Madison; two stepsons, Robert Schauer and Rodney Schauer, both of Madison; his parents, Arnold and Ruby of DeForest; three brothers, Paul (Betty) of Sun Prairie, Bill (Anna) of Endeavor, and Larry (Lynn) of DeForest, and three grandchildren, Brenna Ledesma, Clark and Morgan. He was preceded in death by his uncle, Nicholas Stallman. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Monday, December 16, 2002, at ST. JOHN'S CATHOLIC CHURCH, Waunakee. The Rev. Jason Hesseling will officiate. Friends may call from 3 p.m. until 6 p.m. on Sunday, Dece. 15, 2002 at WINN FUNERAL HOME, Waunakee and from 10 a.m. until the time of the services on Monday at the church.
