About Kent
I was raised in the Canadian pacific northwest in a logging, mining and mill town. I’m a first-generation college graduate in a second career. My first career was as a college and pro basketball coach. I’ve been married for 30+ years and have two awesome children who are both in college. Everyday I try to do two things at work: raise a little bit more money to help one more student go to college, and invest in the lives & careers of the people I work with.
For Fun
The best piece of advice I've ever been given is, “It’s not what you know, or even who you know…it’s who knows you!”
If I weren't so damn good at my job, I'd probably be coaching college basketball or soccer.
The most important thing I learned in college is how to learn.
My favorite inspirational quote is: “Life is 10% what happens to you, and 90% how you respond.” --Coach Lou Holtz
