One of the goals of the Kearney Center is to encourage students from around the world to share their culture, ideas, and talents with one another. Each year international student groups organize and present a variety of events and programs. Each of these is a wonderful opportunity for cultural enrichment and entertainment.

We invite you to take a look at both the Nationality Nights and the Mankato Area International Festival.

All of the Minnesota State Mankato campus events contribute the dynamic campus culture.

Mankato Area International Festival

Sunday, April 7, 2019 11:00 am - 3:00 pm  - Fusion & Inclusion

  • The Mankato Area International Festival is Minnesota State University, Mankato's largest international event. The festival provides attendees with a passport to discover a colorful flag parade, great singing, dancing, a fashion show, food vendors, cultural displays, children's area for making crafts, as well as a silent auction to raise funds for future international festivals.
  • The festival celebrates diversity and culture from around the world and within the Mankato community. This event provides a common message of peace, harmony and friendship. It also gives an opportunity for attendees to experience many cultures under a single roof.

Some of the campus events that incorporate the international experience are included here.
