D2L Brightspace

D2L Brightspace

D2L Brightspace is the learning management system software we use at Minnesota State, Mankato. Brightspace has a broad range of features that can help faculty make their courses more efficient and more effective whether it is face-to-face, hybrid/blended, or fully online.

Qualtrics

Qualtrics, a survey tool, is an industry standard research survey tool that is easy to use and incredibly powerful. Data can be collected and mined in very simple or extremely complex ways, depending on the needs of the survey owner.

Turnitin

Turnitin is a plagiarism detection software and acts as a tool to educate students how to correctly and effectively use secondary sources.

Respondus LockDown Browser and Monitor

Respondus Lockdown and Monitor are online proctoring tools. Lockdown is a custom browser that locks down the testing environment. Respondus Monitor records students via webcam while taking a quiz online.

Elizabeth Harsma (she/her) holds a Ph.D. in Education and master's degree in Spanish. Elizabeth has ten years of university teaching experience including classroom, blended/hybrid, and online courses. Her interests include faculty development, instructional technology, and inclusive and accessible course design.
