Active Learning Strategies

Page address:

Active learning is a method of instruction that places the responsiblity of learning on the learners.  Research supporting active learning indicates that increased learning gains are seen when learners engage with the content through writing, discussion, problem-solving and other activities rather than listening to lectures or watching videos.  Active learning techniques are not limited to face-to-face classrooms and can be integrated with any teaching strategy.
