There's a reason that our slogan at 89.7 the Maverick is "KMSU and its listeners: together we make great radio"! It's because time and again you come through for us during our pledge drives, and we're so humbled and grateful for your support. You've made the Spring Pledge Drive of our 60th year the second biggest in history. To that we say WOW. Also, we say THANK YOU. Thank you thank you thank you. You're amazing.

Radio Heroes began pledging at six a.m. on the first day of the drive, and they continued all the way to the end of the Shuffle Function 24 Hour Pledge Drive A-Go-Go. We met our $40,000 drive goal by ten p.m. on the second to last day of the drive, and with five minutes to spare during the radio marathon the station was at $50,727 total funds raised. It was then that KMSU General Manager Dwayne Megaw announced that we were $104 away from having the second largest drive in history. What do KMSU DJs do when they're confronted with this kind of information? They go for it!

Shuffle Function hosts Shyboy Tim and Shelley put out the call for help, and with just moments to spare KMSU raised enough to have the second largest drive. By ten a.m. on Saturday, May 6th, the grand total was $51,000. Again, we have to say WOW.

Thank you for all of your support, Radio Heroes. You are seriously the best. It will take a while to get all the drive information together and order the necessary swag, so please be patient with us. Soon enough you'll be finding amazing thank you gifts in your mailbox.

In case you missed it, here's a TWENTY FOUR HOUR LONG recording of the entire Pledge Drive A-Go-Go. It will only be available for two weeks!
