German Club

German Club is a Registered Student Organization (RSO) at MSU. It is a vital extension of the German academic program that fosters cohesion and engagement through on- and off-campus activities.The purpose of the club is to give members opportunities to converse in German and to develop an understanding of German culture. The club is a non-profit organization and independent of all other organizations.

The German Club organizes events (film screenings, cultural outings, cooking, traditional celebrations, fundraising activities) and invites all members of the campus and the community to attend and participate. For updates on activities, and/or joining the German Club, please visit the MSU German Club Site on OrgSync (you must have an MNSU username/star id) or open to all visit the MNSU German Club on Facebook.


German Conversation Hour Fall 2018

In addition, the Club hosts a weekly Conversation Table that is open to all members of the community interested improving their German conversation skills. There is no registration necessary and most participants are members of the community or Minnesota State University, Mankato students/staff. Beginners, intermediate/advanced speakers are welcome to participate.

German Club is meeting during the fall semester 2017:

  • Wednesdays 4:00-5:00pm (starting 29 August 2018)
  • Centennial Student Union (CSU) Lower Level near Affinity Plus Bank

Annual German Club Fundraiser!

Pretzel Bake and Sale  7+ 8 September 2018

Join us in learning how to bake authentic German Pretzels! We meet in the Consumer Science Kitchen in Wiecking WC 139 starting at 3:30pm on Friday, 7 September 2018.  We usually make homemade pizza to feed everyone along the way.   On Saturday, 8 September 2018, we will be selling our pretzels on the Mankato Farmers Market (Best Buy Parking Lot) from 8:00am-12:00pm. 

First and Second Year German students can earn extra credit.
