Minutes of 3/01/95 stand approved.

Presentation-Kevin Mortinson/Jostens College Division-talked about designing a

ring for MSU graduates.

Union Board-Becky Brown (see written report)

Student Forum

Jim Louis talked about better meeting solutions. What Senate can do to have meetings run

more smoothly.

Christ Schleicher would like us to review the Judicial Bd. system on campus. They

are being selective w/crimes and students that have to go in front of the Judicial BD.

Officer Reports

A. Acting President Eric Bakke

1. Thank you to all who helped with meningitis emergency. Motion

regarding situation was ruled our of order-motion to brought out of Student

Affairs Committee.

2. Tired to submit an initiative of supporting Athletics in Fiscal Affairs

which Pres. Hammes specifically vetoed. Kris ruled Eric's motion out of order.

Senator Kurdle called question to form a committee to bring Eric's appeal to the

Constitution Committee rather than just submitting to Constitution Committee.


B. Acting Vice President Stacy Rogge

We owe a round of applause to Eric for handling meningitis scare so well.

C. Speaker Kris Esser

Brought up President Hammes's veto to the motion of putting Athletics in

Fiscal Affairs.

Senator Kurdle-made motion to wait until next meeting to vote on Athletics' issues and

wait to override the President's veto until then. 2nd-Tracy

Election Committee appointments-no votes were cast for the purpose of waiting until the

President and Vice President were available to review them. They were not cast because of the people's abilities.

Previous question called-Senator Mulcahy 2nd Senator Blanck 10-4-1

Constitution Committee appointments-objections were again raised because of the

same reasons. Motions carries. Communication Board appointments stand.

Students can go to Health Services to get meningitis shot, should call ahead.

Letter was sent to all MSU student's parents to make sure their son/daughter

received his/her vaccination.

Senator Majeske-glad that Eric Bakke had the chance to make this proposal since this

was extraordinary circumstances.


Budget Hearings will begin. Budget Book will be available. Recommendation:
