MSSA Grade Appeal Assistance Procedure
Upon requesting the MSSA to assist in the pursuit of a grade appeal, either verbally or in writing, the appellate student has the following options available
They may be assisted by an academic senator or the Assistant Campus Coordinator.
Academic senators assisting the appellate shall inform the Assistant Campus Coordinator of actions taken and process made during the appeal.
Academic senators must forward copies of necessary documentation to the Assistant Campus Coordinator for record keeping.
All grade appeals will be documented on tracking forms. Any documentation will be kept confidential with the Assistant Campus Coordinator with the
Appellate student name removed from all documentation retained. Only senators that represent the student appellate and MSSA executive officers may review said material and only on a need to know basis.
Senator Pavlenko-these rules are consistent with original recommendations.

Draft of General Student Complaint policy is on the EMail. One concern-how complaint
would be handled with a faculty person. At this time the Final appeal is to be the Dean of the College-feel this should be the Vice President of Academic Affairs. Statement of Student Responsibilities is also on EMail under Announce section.
There are a few changes, including documentation of students with psychological problems.
Met with Edgar Twedt, Mankato City Council, would like to see more involvement of
students. There are openings for students in committees. There is alot of room to
