-Attended MSUSA Conference. Announcement of Student Media Conference (see information corner). HESO will be holding hearings around state, Mankato 9/26 at SCTC. This meeting will be regarding budget proposals and financial aid changes.

President Chris Boyce
Recognized Angela White Owl-MSUSA Cultural Diversity Rep. Rhys Gaffer-MSUSA Academic Affairs Coordinator. Eric Bakke-alumni, Malcolm O'Sullivan. Committees and Searches: Dean searches, still looking for student representatives. Committees are still available, encourage students to participate.
Met with Academic Affairs Committee regarding grade appeals. Met with focus group for student services regarding lack of clocks in buildings.
Coordinator positions still available.
Governor Recap-Received a letter stating that we set standard for visits.
NCA Final report-MSU was given thumbs up
MSUSA-Very productive conference. Delegation did a very good job of representing MSU. Next conference Nov 4-6 in Twin Cities.
Minnesota State Diversity Conference- October 11, MSUSA will pay for two students to attend conference.
HESO -Higher Ed Services Office-controls all financial aid for higher ed. This is not a meeting that will discuss proposals, but how much policies will cost, child care grants, work study grants. This is a big policy picture.
Will be attending Government Relations Workshop- Will be out of office next Tuesday and Wed. For Minnesota State Conference.
Football follies-Homecoming-we need a team for 1/2 time. Faculty also.
Master Plan (week of October 8th)-blue prints for facilities, parking etc. Pictures of what our institution could look like-stop and give them feedback.
Yellow Ribbon Suicide Prevention Week-see yellow ribbon flyer.
FYE classes, individual student issues, helped w/ambassador visit.

Vice President Tim Huebsch
Partnership with MSU , Nokia, Midwest Wireless-Trial period will be to see how students will use this, students from every college will be testing. Server will be placed on our campus. Students can actually work on development to help shape direction of this industry from the Nokia side. This is another piece to make this a wireless campus.
Senator Kroiss-How will they pick the 200 students.
Vice President Huebsch-Midwest Wireless is working on the students from different ranges.
President Boyce-What did the President of Nokia announce at the press releases?
Vice President Huebsch-He talked more about the non-academic uses .

Attended Ambassador from Nepali banquet. Great event, they danced, ate food from their country.
Encourage you all to attend a MSUSA Conference, it allows you to know what other universities around the state are doing. You meet a lot of people.
