- Mr. Jim Jacobsen-Coach for Flight Team. MSU Team will be attending Regional Flight Competition -must qualify to go to Nationals. At Nationals MSU won the Loaning Trophy. Going to Conference in St. Cloud and need financial support. Must rent Cessna 152 planes at $43.00 per hour (see Expense report). Flight Team does do fund raising. Aviation Club does help, possible with National dues.
President Boyce-Have you gone to SAC yet? They meet tomorrow at 10:00.
Mr. Jacobsen-Appreciate support from this body. Also put in a bid for the National Flight Team-Lost out to UND-they have a control tower, we would have to rent one. We wanted to show off our campus. Regional Competition is Oct 11-12.

Student Senate Elections-Tuesday, Oct. 11. Encourage students to run. Technology-continuing to move forward. Committee will be starting in next couple weeks.
Search Committee for Drug Alcohol Coordinator-seeking student to serve on committee.
Senator Short-What is the Drug Alcohol Coordinator?
Vice President Huebsch-Works with Health Services coordinating this effort on campus.

Will be bringing forward resolution regarding regulating clocks on campus.
Whereas: Students of Minnesota State University must report to classes at specific times
Whereas: Currently clocks on campus have no consistent setting
Whereas: Instructors rely on clocks in academic buildings to facilitate class starts and ending times
Whereas: The University has no central control mechanism to regulate clocks
Be it resolved: The Office of Facilities and Office of Building Services be directed to monitor clocks to keep the time current
Senator Groenewold-Wouldn't there be something more appropriate then the Bell Tower? The Bell Tower might not keep accurate time.
Senator Klein-We chose this because it can also be heard off-campus.
Senator Bisanz-I would like to recommend the Bell Tower be reset.
Senator White Owl-Looked at bylaws of ECDC committee regarding appointments. Will report next week.
President Boyce-Flight Team will be going to SAC tomorrow.
Athletic Trainers Fund Raiser tonight-spaghetti feed at Eagles on Riverfront.
Senator Kroiss-MSU Flight Team had over 60 members at conference last year. Most of any school. We have a very good program that does not get recognized.
Senator Bicek-Battle of Bands and coronation tomorrow evening.
