Club Handball Scholarships
Four team members receive scholarships.

Mankato, Minn. – Four athletes from Minnesota State Mankato’s club handball team have each received $300 scholarships funded by Buster’s Bar & Grill in Mankato.
The scholarship recipients included Cody Kutil (pictured top right), a junior from Wausau, Wis., majoring in aviation and geography; Jessica Herion (pictured top left), a sophomore from Dublin, Ohio, majoring in international business, finance and French; Sara Schoborg (pictured bottom right), a second-year student from Westbrook, Minn., majoring in accounting; and Matt Job (pictured bottom left), a senior from Richmond, Minn., majoring in corporate finance.
Herion won the women’s 19U national championship at last year's USHA 4-wall nationals in Des Moines, Iowa. Schoborg was the runner-up in her individual bracket at the USHA collegiate nationals last year.
The Minnesota State Mankato Handball Club is dedicated to the promotion of handball on campus. The club meets regularly during the week to play handball on campus, travels to local tournaments and to the United States Handball Association’s National Collegiate Handball tournament.

A sport club is a recognized student organization that exists to promote and develop interest in a particular sport or physical activity. A club may be instructional, recreational or competitive or may involve any combination. Sport clubs are strictly voluntary. Involvement in a sport club enhances a student’s collegiate experience and contributes to the student’s overall education.
Sport clubs are officially sponsored by the Office of Campus Recreation and the Student Activities Office and are supported through Student Activity Fees.
