Feb. 6: Vocalist Mary Jane Alm
Twin Cities singer/songwriter to perform with guitarist and singer Boyd Lee.

MANKATO, Minn. – Award winning singer/songwriter Mary Jane Alm performs on Thursday, Feb. 6 at 7:30 p.m. in the Elias J. Halling Recital Hall of the Earley Center for Performing Arts, 320 Maywood Ave. Alm will share the stage with guitarist and singer Boyd Lee.
Perhaps no female vocalist on the Twin Cities music scene is as beloved as Alm. Throughout the last 25 plus years, she has mesmerized audiences with her expressive voice, authentic songwriting and charming stage presence. She has performed on stages all over the continental United States as well as in Hawaii, China, Russia, Poland, Mexico, Bermuda and Puerto Rico.
Alm has been honored with multiple Minnesota Music Awards, including best female vocalist and artist of the year and was recently inducted into the Mid-America Music Hall of Fame. She also has an Emmy Award for her work with The Music Workshop For Kids.
Along with her band, Boyd Lee, Brian C. Peters, Scott Scooter Nelson and Gordy Johnson, Mary Jane has shared concert halls with David Byrne, The Judds, Michael Johnson and legendary songwriter, Jimmy Webb, among others. She has just released her long-awaited CD, “Me and the Wild Blue”, a collection of original songs, songs penned for her by songwriter friends and a few covers by her some of her favorite writers. Produced by Grammy award winner Steve Hodge, this record is a reflection of an intense personal journey through life and music.
Alm attended Mankato State College in the early seventies as a Music Education major. At that time her father, Dr. Kent Alm, was acting President of the College.
